History of the Adelaide Football Club

The Adelaide Football Club’s SANFL team will make its debut in the League competition in 2014.

To be coached by former North Adelaide forward Heath Younie, it will house all AFC - listed players not playing with Adelaide’s AFL team while some top-up players will also be used when required.

The newly-created side – which will play all of its matches as the ‘’Away’’ team - will increase the number of teams in the League competition from nine to ten.

The team will also be known as the Adelaide Football Club and will sport a guernsey which uses white as its most dominant colour, together with blue, gold and red.
