Lachie played in the midfield in Glenelg's 25-point victory over Sturt in a very competitive game at Commander Centre Oval on Saturday, April 2. The 17 year old won many clearances with strong body work and clean hands as well as providing many attacks into the forward line. He was damaging in the first half, setting up the victory with four first-half goals. The former Kybybolite player had a match total of 29 possessions, 10 marks, seven inside 50s and four goals.

Luke Wilson (Port Adelaide)

Luke's outstanding performance in Port Adelaide's six-point loss to Glenelg on Saturday, April 9, earned him this week's Macca's Cup MVP nomination. With the Magpies down by four goals at half-time, Luke exploded in the second half to turn the tide with some memorable ground level play in the forward half. His clean hands, pace and ability led to a match total of 30 possessions, including 19 kicks, 11 handballs, three marks and five goals. Originally from Port District, the 17 year old was a member of the 2009 SANFL U16s State Team.

Thomas Schwarz (Woodville-West Torrens)

Tom was voted best on ground in the Eagles' 33-point victory over Sturt at Adelaide Oval on Friday night (April 15). His 41 possessions (21 kicks, 20 handballs) against Sturt were a major factor in the team's win. Judges noted Tom's coolness under pressure and decision-making skills.

Nicholas Dinham (Norwood)

Nick was the stand-out performer in Norwood’s 50-point win over Central District on the weekend.
The 17 year old showed great work rate in running hard forward to either mark inside the forward 50 or block space for his teammates.
Playing at centre half forward, he collected 22 disposals, 10 marks, six hitouts and two goals. |

Jimmy Toumpas (Eagles)

Jimmy was voted best-on-ground in the Eagles’ comfortable win over Norwood on the weekend.
The 17 year old’s work rate was first-class as he amassed 42 possessions, including two goals, in a dominant display.
Judges noted Jimmy’s ability to follow instruction and play his role in the team well, which has resulted in a string of impressive performances so far this season. |

Gavin Shephard (Port Adelaide)

Gavin Shephard of Port Adelaide Football Club is this week’s Macca’s Cup Most Valuable Player.
Gavin’s outstanding workrate across half forward resulted in 24 possessions, including 13 kicks, 11 handballs, seven marks, three tackles and two goals in Port’s match against the Panthers on the weekend.
The 18 year old from Port District was also influential in assisting other forwards to get on the scoreboard. |

Steve was outstanding on the weekend in Central’s match against the Eagles.
He had 42 possessions while playing across half back and on ball, setting up many of Central’s movements forward with his ability to run and carry the ball. His workrate around the field was a match highlight.

Kaiden Brand (West Adelaide)
Kaiden followed up his 28-possession game the previous week with a 36-touch match against the Eagles last Saturday in a dominant display from the 17 year old ruckman.
Finishing the game with 19 hit outs and 12 marks, Kaiden’s ability to win clearances made him the most effective big man on the ground, contributing significantly to West’s win on the day. |

Tim Broomhead (Port Adelaide)

Tim played in a variety of roles and averaged 29 possessions in their impressive win over South Adelaide on Saturday. Tim’s outstanding match resulted in 7 goals up forward and 4 clearances in his usual midfield position.
Tim has had a great start to the season winning many clearances, using the ball efficiently and taking strong contested marks, which he displayed with 11 marks on the weekend. |

Scott Burnett (Port Adelaide)

Last year’s U18s best-and-fairest for the Magpies, Scott Burnett is this week’s Macca’s Cup MVP. Scott, originally from Salisbury West FC, dominated up forward in Port’s match against Sturt on the weekend.
His unique ability to extricate himself from tight on-field situations allowed him to tally 37 possessions, 10 marks, two tackles and two goals during the match. Judges described his fourth-quarter performance as “outstanding”. |

William Paynter (Sturt)
William Paynter from Sturt Football Club has been awarded this week's Macca’s Cup MVP for his outstanding play in his club’s big win over the Eagles last Saturday.
The 18 year old amassed 44 possessions in a dominant display which included eight marks, three tackles and a goal.
The midfielder continued his strong play from Round 10 where he collected 35 possessions and 10 marks. |

Brodie Murdoch was the difference in Glenelg's 54-point victory over Central District last Saturday.
The 17 year old was a dominant force coming out from full forward and finished with a spectacular 11-goal haul from 23 possessions.

Matthew Appleton is this week’s MVP award winner with an outstanding performance for Woodville-West Torrens against South Adelaide last weekend. Matthew notched up 42 possessions including 6 marks, 3 tackles and 5 clearances.
Born and bred in Moonta, this 18 year was part of the 2009 SANFL U16 State Team and now makes himself useful on the wing for the Eagles which has earnt him a spot in the 2010/11 U18 Academy. |

Jackson McMahon (Glenelg)

Jackson McMahon of the Glenelg Football Club is this week's Macca’s MVP. In a 67 point victory over West Adelaide, the 18 year old showed excellent skills at half back and was prepared to run, creating many attacking moves from defence.
He was able to read the play and create opportunities with his 20 kicks, nine handballs, three tackles and four inside 50s. Overall, an excellent match for this upcoming player. |

Jordan Francis (Panthers)

This week’s Macca’s MVP is Jordan Francis of the South Adelaide Football Club. Jordan showed excellent skills in the match against Central District racking up 28 disposals, seven marks and six rebound 50s.
Starting on the ball early, Jordan was moved to full back and was able to have a large impact on the game, creating great run from the back pocket and taking on his opponents to win possession of the ball.

Levi Krause of the Sturt Football Club is this week’s winner of the Macca’s MVP award with a fantastic performance against South Adelaide in the U18s this weekend. Levi played a dominating game across half forward with 19 possessions and an ability to bring other players into the game.
He was a focal point into the forward line, continually making a contest and was rewarded with 9 goals. |

Sam Tonkes of the Port Adelaide Football Club is this week’s Macca’s MVP.
Returning from the SANFL U18 State program, Sam had a fantastic game resulting in 32 possessions and 2 goals. Sam’s clean hands and drive out the midfield set up Port Adelaide’s 55 point victory over the ladder leaders, Glenelg.
Other highlights of the 18 year old's game included his six clearances where he was able to set up teammates and provide his side with plenty of winning opportunities. |

Tim Baccanello of the Sturt Football Club is this week's Macca’s MVP winner after a tireless effort against Central District on the weekend.
Tim was a prime mover in the centre clearances and stoppages setting up numerous opportunities for his teammates. His ability to win the ball was excellent but it was his work under close checking from the opposition that was outstanding. He finished the game with 26 possessions and 12 tackles which typified his high work rate. |

Luke Snowden from the Central District Football Club is the Round 19 Macca’s MVP winner after a great match against the Eagles last Saturday.
The highlights of Luke’s match was his ability to make contest and play in front. Luke also provided plenty of run from the back 50 and setup key plays into the forward line with his clean skills and ability to remain calm under pressure. The 17 year old finished the match with 17 possessions and 8 marks. |

Ryan Sherry from South Adelaide Football Club is this week's Macca’s MVP winner after his vital role in the thrilling draw against West Adelaide at Hickinbotham Oval on the weekend. Ryan worked tirelessly across half forward playing his best game for the season.
He displayed an extremely high work rate finishing the game with 30 possessions and 3 goals.. Another highlight of his game was his ability to bring other team mates into the game. |

Scott O'Shaughnessy is this week’s Macca’s MVP winner after a great game against West Adelaide at Gliderol Stadium. In his first year at the club Scott has made an impact on the team with his clean hands, strong marking, long accurate kicking and his run through the lines.
On the weekend, Scott was instrumental through the midfield with great attack at the ball finishing the game with 27 possessions. He also spent time in defence, laid five tackles and played a significant role in the victory for the Tigers. |

Jack Muirhead has been awarded the Macca's Cup MVP for round 22 with his performance for the Eagles against West Adelaide at Unleash Solar Oval on the weekend. His clean hands were a highlight of his game as well as his on ground leadership.
Jack’s decision making with the football was very good as he helped himself to 40 important possessions in the Eagles big win. Jack's outstanding form this year also led to him represent the Eagles at Reserves level earlier in the year. |

Part of the Championship winning State Under 16 Team for the last two Years, Alex Spina had an outstanding game against Central District to be MVP of the Macca's Cup for Round 23. Playing on ball, Alex amassed 35 possessions and also finished the game with four goals. He was also instrumental in many forward movements having seven clearances and pushing the ball himself into the forward 50 on six occasions. |
