Oliver Johnston (West Adelaide)
Oliver Johnson's outstanding performance in West Adelaide's 135 point victory over South Adelaide earned him the Macca's Cup MVP nomination for Round 1. Johnson played in the midfield and was extremely dominant, giving his teammates first use of the ball by having 19 clearances for the game. The former Flinders Park player amassed 43 possessions, 9 marks, four inside 50s and a goal. Johnson receives the weekly prize of a Macca's backpack, towel and Skins garment courtesy of McDonald’s.

Alex Spina (North)
State U18 Academy member Alex Spina amassed 22 kicks and 10 handballs in North Adelaide’s win over South Adelaide.
He also had 10 marks, and recorded four inside 50s and one rebound 50.
The onballer’s impact was most felt when resting up forward.
Though playing the last quarter across half back, Spina finished the game with five goals and was also instrumental in setting up several others.

Daniel Williamson (Norwood)
Norwood’s Daniel Williamson picked up 8 kicks, 36 handballs, 3 marks, 10 clearances, 3 tackles, 5 inside 50s and one rebound 50. Williamson played as an inside midfielder and won numerous possessions both off the ruck contest and off the floor. He ran with the ball through the gaps in the stoppages and opened the game up with his handball while running with the ball. His defensive pressure was excellent, as was his ability to press up and get into the Eagles player’s space, which meant they turned over the ball due to his effort. Williamson was instrumental in setting up the Norwood win over a very good Eagles outfit.

West Adelaide’s Tom Schott tallied 23 possessions, ten marks and six goals to win the Round 4 Macca’s Cup MVP. Tom played across half-forward and was extremely dominant, with his contested marking and work rate was a match highlight against a strong North Adelaide outfit. |

Jake Johansen (Port)
Jake Johansen from Port Adelaide Football Club has been named Round 5 Macca’s Cup Most Valuable Player. Jake, 15, tallied 22 kicks, three handballs, two marks, 10 clearances, seven tackles and a goal in Port’s home ground clash against Central District. Still eligible for U16s, the Henley Sharks product has shown this season that he isn’t afraid to mix with older and bigger teammates and opponents. |

Brodie Grundy (Sturt)
Brodie Grundy has been named Round 6 Macca’s Cup MVP. With 22 kicks, 11 handballs, 10 marks, five goals and 49 hitouts, he was best on ground in Sturt’s win over Glenelg last weekend. As the game progressed, he was often faced with a two or three on one situation but continued to dominate due to strength, skill and determination. |

Ryan Djiksman (West)
Ryan played through the midfield and across half forward.
He amassed an amazing 42 posessions, including ten Marks, nine clearances and two goals against quality opposition. |

Nick Favretto (West)
Nick played both midfield and half forward. He controlled the game with 44 possessions at an elite 81% efficiency.
He also took 16 Marks, had seven clearances and 6 inside 50s that resulted directly in West Adelaide goals. |

Peter Bampton (Norwood)
Peter played as a midfielder and he was fantastic at the stoppages having 14 clearances. He worked really hard both into attack and defence and amassed 40 possessions (15 handball and 25 kicks) and took 4 marks.
He also got inside 50 through hard gut running and kicked 4 goals and also put his body on the line and laid 4 excellent tackles as well as numerous blocks for the team. Peter had the GPS unit on and it measured him running 16.1km during the game. He is a very consistent performer at Under 18 level even though he is only Under 16.
We look forward to him playing in the South Australian Under 16 team in the coming weeks. |

Chase Bower (Norwood)
Chase played as a deep defender, he beat his man and provided great rebound due to his excellent reading of the ball and marking in defence. He also chose excellent times to spoil and his run and link up play was outstanding for a deep defender and he used the ball really efficiently.
To have 20 disposals as a deep defender and also defend his opponent was a superb effort. |

Matt Appleton from the WWTFC has won the Rnd 12 Maccas Cup MVP. Matt had 25 kicks and 24 Handballs as well as 12 Clearances and 1 Goal.
Matt was clearly the best player on the ground and worked hard all over the ground and his clearance work was exceptional. |

Campbell Combe from North Adelaide FC had an outstanding game in the drawn match with Sturt.
He amassed 27 kicks and 12 handballs and also laid 5 tackles. His influence around the stoppages also was pivotal in North achieving a come from behind draw. He had 2 centre, 5 ball up and 3 throw in clearances, to be the dominant clearance and possession winner on the ground |

Dwayne changed the game after he moved from a forward flank to centre in the second quarter and ended up with 37 possessions, 5 marks, 6 clearances, 5 forward entries and three goals.

Ben has played the previous 3 games in the reserves after having a great start to the season at U18 level with consistently good performances.
He was unlucky to be squeezed out of the reserves as he has performed well in his 3 games.
He played a lone hand in the midfield winning plenty of ball throughout the day.

Sean had a change of role this week playing as a half forward rather than his usual on ball or half back role. He worked hard throughout the game, running both offensively to get on the end of his team mates good work and end up with 5 goals but also defensively laying 5 tackles. |

In a losing side Travis was outstanding, he had 32 kicks, 11 Handballs, 13 clearances, 11 marks and 1 goal as an onballer, his tireless work around the ground was a highlight.
