NOW FOR SOME MOMENTUM
NORTH Adelaide coach Andrew Jarman has lauded the Roosters for Saturday's 53-point win against West Adelaide despite failing to land the killer blow in the second half.
The Roosters also had their chances to bury West in the second quarter but booted a wayward 2.9 for the term. Andy Collins' men kicked back after the break, when Damian Cupido shifted forward and booted three goals to help the visitors square the second half. "I knew there would be some fatigue kicking in after half-time because of the short break," Jarman said of the Roosters' five-day turnaround following their 106-point thrashing at the hands of Sturt on Monday. "When you get tired mentally and physically you make a lot of skill errors and we did. But I thought the way they worked as a group was a really pleasing result. It's two points and it keeps us around the mark. "It's the halfway mark - hopefully it's a new start. We need to get some momentum." |
