Grand Finals have always been associated with colour, celebration and song.

Iconic footy anthems such as Up There Cazaly, The Thing About Football and One Day In September have rung through the ears of footy fans over the past 30 years.

This year, the SANFL will be opening the 2008 League Grand Final with its own song celebrating the biggest day on the South Australian football calendar.

Written and recorded by local musician Darren McCrae, Grand Final is a catchy tribute that captures the spirit of the game South Australians love to play.

McCrae himself has close ties with South Australian football, having played reserves at West Adelaide. He has also worked as a scout for both North Adelaide and Woodville-West Torrens football clubs.

A limited edition single can be purchased for $6.50 at the SANFL administration office at 1 Turner Drv, West Lakes.
