Dual North Melbourne premiership coach Denis Pagan has quashed speculation he is headed to SANFL club North Adelaide, saying "I don't know where that's come from". Rumours spread like wildfire yesterday that the Roosters had chosen Pagan as the coaching replacement for dumped Andrew Jarman.
But Pagan, sacked as coach of Carlton midway through 2007 but looking to get back into football, said he had not spoken to North about the job. "North Adelaide hasn't spoken to me and I haven't spoken to anyone about it," he said.
"I don't know where this is coming from but it's just not true."
Pagan, who undertook a review of Port Adelaide's football operations this year, also distanced himself from a possible assistant coach's role at the Power.
"I haven't spoken to Port in ages," he said.
