The 2008 SANFL 'be active' Finals Series continues to break attendance records, with Sunday's First and Second Semi Final crowd the best in a decade.
A 22,568-strong crowd converged at Adelaide Oval this afternoon for the second week of SANFL Finals.
It was the largest recorded attendance since 1998 when 23,102 footy fans attended the First and Second Semis.
Sunday's turn-out represented a 35 per cent increase on last year's Semi Finals crowd of 14,764.
SANFL Executive Commissioner Leigh Whicker said he was delighted that League match attendances were continuing to go from strength to strength.
"We are thrilled that South Australians are supporting League footy and contributing to the fantastic atmosphere of SANFL Finals at Adelaide Oval," he said.
"SANFL Finals not only deliver an exciting brand of football, but also a great day out for family and friends."
The League anticipates another bumper crowd next Sunday when Sturt and Glenelg battle it out in the Preliminary Final to determine who meets reigning premier Central District in the Grand Final on October 5.
