    Please find below some basic information in regards to The Next Step program.
    Drop off and Collection Information
    5-8 YO group
    Tuesday Morning (Alberton Oval)
    Parking is available as per the map.
    Registration will occur from 9:00am in the Port Club, follow the signage on the day to the registration area. There will also be SANFL staff on site to direct you. You will need to sign your child in with SANFL staff in the registration area.
    Tuesday Afternoon
    Pickup will occur in the same room as registration, from 3:00pm. There will also be a sign out procedure for all participants.
     
    Wednesday Morning (AAMI Stadium)
    Parking is available as per the map.
    Sign in will occur in the Magarey Room from 9:00am. Please enter via the door adjacent to the Checkside Tavern entry, there will be signage and staff on site to direct you. Please be aware that the area outside this entrance is a driveway and car park and needs to remain clear for traffic.
    Wednesday afternoon
    Pickup will occur in the same area as sign in (Magarey Room) from 3:00pm. Parents will need to sign participants out.
     
    9-15YO group
    Thursday Morning
    Parking is available as per the map.
    Sign in will occur in the Magarey Room from 9:00am. Please enter via the door adjacent to the Checkside Tavern entry, there will be signage and staff on site to direct you. Please be aware that the area outside this entrance is a driveway and car park and needs to remain clear for traffic.

    Registration will occur from 9:00am in the Port Club, follow the signage on the day to the registration area. There will also be SANFL staff on site to direct you. You will need to sign your child in with SANFL staff in the registration area.
    Friday Afternoon
    Pickup will occur in the same room as registration, from 3:00pm. There will also be a sign out procedure for all participants.
     
    Frequently Asked Questions
    • Do parents need to sign children in?
    Parents will be required to sign children in upon arrival to the stadium and sign children out upon collection
    • When do participants receive their guernseys?
    Guernseys will be available for collection on the day however in the unlikely event that the guernsey is not ready for collection, participants will be provided with an SANFL guernsey for the duration of ‘THE NEXT STEP’ SANFL footy experience. Guernseys will then be mailed out to participants
    • Can parents stay and watch? 
    Parents are welcome to watch children however there will be some activities that parents will not have access to due to the limited room
    • Do the participants require lunch/lunch money?
    Morning Tea, Lunch, Afternoon Tea and Drinks will be provided throughout the duration of the program. However we do advise participants to bring a drink bottle with them 
    • Do parents need to stay for the whole day?
    Parents are welcome to stay however they will not be required to take care of their children. The SANFL will have experienced game development staff and coaches supervising the children on the day
    • How do I get my 2011 SANFL ‘be active’ Grand Final tickets?
    Grand Final tickets will be mailed to all participants prior to the event. If you have not received please contact Jessica Wainwright on 8424 2220
    • Will sports trainers be available for ‘The Next Step’?
    No. If your child requires strapping please arrange this prior to your arrival at the venue
    • Will a medical team be available  for ‘The Next Step’?
    Yes. St John's will be on site for each of the days
